The “weavings of the water”… Two days dedicated to sheep’s wool and the art of weaving.

We are pleased to announce the organization of the 3rd Wool Festival, which will take place on July 4 and 5, 2025, at the agrotourism complex of Christoforos Kostaras, in Dolos Pogoni.

Under the shade of the trees we will tell stories that come from the past, we will learn how sheep’s wool becomes yarn, we will weave flokati, and with the power of water we will see them transform into our own artistic creations.

With the aim of highlighting cottage industries, sustainability and handmade creation, we invite young and old to discover the magical world of wool.

The program includes:

• demonstration of the traditional wool cycle (washing, ginning, carding, spinning and dyeing of yarns with local plants),
• interactive weaving workshops
• seminars on felting, embroidery and carpet making

The event is aimed at all those who appreciate tradition, natural life and creation.

Come and rediscover the power of wool, a raw material that clothes us, warms us and connects us with our roots.
